For the churched out there, especially for those of us who have served over ministries and seen the inner workings of "church" that most people don't see or know about, I want to pose a thought.
Does anyone see the disturbing trend that is underway; the one where pastors over a particular church act like front runners, only associating with the elite professionals, shucking, jiving, shilling for them, meanwhile blatantly ignoring (and in some cases, as I have witnessed...) putting those down who aren't doctors, lawyers, politicians, etc.?
It's not a big deal to me, but I wonder if anyone else notices this.
Makes you wonder what some of them will do when the people who they put down, never tried to help when it was apparent they weren't doing so well -- end up experiencing big success and become the very "elite" that they so commonly side with.
Just a rumination.
